It isn't frozen water — it's a synthetic ice surface built from interlocking panels, and yes, it genuinely works. Guests wear ordinary ice skates and the blades glide across it the same way they would on a frozen rink. There's slightly more friction than real ice, which most people never notice and beginners actually appreciate, because it makes the first ten minutes far less terrifying.

Included. The rental comes with 50 pairs of ice skates in multiple sizes, and our staff handles fitting throughout your event. Guests are also welcome to bring their own skates if they'd rather use a pair they're comfortable in.

Neither. The rink requires zero electrical circuits — no chiller, no generator, no water hookup. That's the biggest practical advantage over a traditional ice rink, and it's why we can set up in parking lots, gyms and fields where a refrigerated rink would be impossible.

Yes, as long as you have the footprint and solid, level flooring. Gymnasiums, banquet halls, warehouses and expo spaces all work well. Because there's no refrigeration or moisture involved, there's no condensation or melt to worry about on your floor.

The rink needs to be set up on solid ground — asphalt, concrete, a gym floor, or hard-packed level dirt. Soft grass, sand, mulch and noticeably sloped ground won't support the panel system properly. If you're not sure your spot qualifies, send us a photo and we'll tell you straight.

Not at all — most of the people on our rink at any given event are first-timers. The rental includes five skate trainers, walker-style frames that beginners push in front of them, and our staff is there the whole time. Up to 30 skaters on the surface at one time, on a useable skating area of 19' x 38'. For bigger crowds we simply run it in rotations — with 50 pairs of skates on hand and staff fitting them continuously, a few hundred guests over an afternoon is very manageable.

Earlier than you think, especially for winter. We have a limited number of rinks, and November and December dates — tree lightings, holiday parties, winter festivals — get claimed months out. For a December event in Jackson, reach out in early fall. Off-season dates are usually easier, but calling ahead never hurts.

The rink itself handles weather far better than an inflatable would — it doesn't melt and it doesn't need to stay frozen. Heavy rain or unsafe conditions are still a judgment call for guest comfort and safety, so we watch the forecast with you. Our rain policy allows rescheduling with 24 hours' notice.
